We use a combination of in-house logic and vetted third-party APIs (when necessary) to generate horoscopes. Our team includes Vedic consultants who design interpretation rules for personal readings. When we call an external astrology API we document the provider and only send minimal required inputs (e.g., sign for daily horoscopes or natal fields where necessary).
Coming soon: an option to compute charts entirely client-side or on private, encrypted compute for users who require extra privacy.
Free services (e.g., Today's Horoscope) are general and sign-based. Paid services are personalised: they may use a question, transit window, or natal data and include a short written report with recommendations. Paid reports are delivered digitally — check the service card for expected delivery window (usually within 12–72 hours depending on service).
We accept major card payments and UPI via trusted payment processors (displayed at checkout). Payments are processed by third-party gateways who handle card data under PCI rules; ASTROV does not store full card numbers. Checkout pages use TLS (HTTPS) by default.
Short summary (important):
All paid services are digital and delivered within the stated delivery window (most under 12 hours). If the service was delivered correctly to your provided contact (email/account) we generally do not provide refunds for fulfilled digital services.
If a paid service was not delivered after successful payment, contact support immediately with your order reference and details. We aim to respond within 5 hours and resolve issues (delivery, re-send, or refund) as appropriate.
Exceptions: cases of system error, duplicate charges, or provider faults will be reviewed; refunds or credits may be issued at ASTROV's discretion after verification.
For personalised natal or question-based readings we may store: your name, email, birth date, birth time, birthplace and timezone. We use this data to compute charts and create reports. We treat natal data as sensitive — see our Privacy Policy for retention, deletion and sharing practices.
External astrology APIs can occasionally fail (rate limits, credentials, provider downtime). If you see an error like "Provider request failed" please:
- Retry after a minute.
- If the problem persists, take a screenshot of the error and contact support with the sign/date and time (IST) you tested.
- We cache successful responses for a short TTL — if a provider is down we may serve cached content where available.
Different providers may use different calculation systems (tropical vs sidereal), house systems, or editorial interpretation rules. ASTROV documents whether a reading is sidereal/Vedic or tropical and which third-party API (if any) was used when relevant.
You can request deletion of account data and natal details via the account settings or by contacting support. We will verify your request to prevent abuse and proceed with deletion according to our retention schedule. Some transactional records may be retained for legal/financial compliance (see Privacy Policy).
After purchase you receive an email confirmation and an order reference. Login to your account > Orders to see delivery status. If you do not receive confirmation within the expected window, contact support with your payment reference and email.
Readings are for general guidance and entertainment. They are not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice. For critical decisions consult a relevant qualified professional.
We store API credentials outside the webroot in environment files, restrict access to server processes, and never expose API keys to clients. All API calls are made server-side and responses cached briefly to reduce provider calls and improve reliability.

Small variations can occur due to provider updates, caching, or timezone differences. We store the text we delivered for orders; saved horoscopes in your account remain as delivered at that time unless explicitly updated.
